Students enrolled at Los Angeles Valley College can get a FREE 2025-2026 Metro GoPass, which allows them to ride Metro buses and trains at no charge!

The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) and the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LA Metro) partnered again to offer the GoPass program, which makes all LACCD students eligible for a free Metro GoPass. The GoPass addresses transportation equity and increases access to higher education by enabling Los Angeles Community College students to ride Metro—completely free of charge—beginning July 1, 2025 through September 30, 2026.

The GoPass is good for Metro bus and rail, AVTA, City of Commerce Transit, Culver CityBus, Foothill Transit, Glendale Beeline, GTrans, LADOT Dash, La County Shuttles, Long Beach Transit, Montebello Bus, Norwalk Transit, Pasadena Transit, Santa Monica Big Blue Bus and Torrance Transit.

To pick up your Metro GoPass Card: Visit the LAVC Welcome Center in the Student Services Center, or the LAVC Business Office in Student Union 143. You must be an enrolled student at LAVC to be eligible, and please bring your picture ID.

To get a 2025-26 activation code: If you already have a Metro GoPass/TAP Card, you will need to get a new activation code for each academic year that you are enrolled at LAVC. Bring your Metro GoPass Card and picture ID to the LAVC Business Office in Student Union 143 to receive your activation code.
